 | Support the Forum maintenance, upkeep and expansion by making a VOLUNTARY payment in the form of a yearly subscription via PayPal. This is strictly VOLUNTARY and will not affect a members forum account in any way. The "subscription" was set to PayPal's minimum 2 cycles, meaning that billing would stop after the second year of billing. I also added an unsubscribe button that can be used to cancel the second installment anytime after first is paid. It would be up to the member to renew after 2 years if applicable. Payment will not go toward "membership" of any kind and comes with no other benefits other than those visible on the forum, such as NO ADVERTISEMENTS for registered members.
I INCLUDED 3 "LEVELS" OF CONTRIBUTION - ALL 3 dollar values ARE FOR ONE YEAR ONLY, PayPal likes to complicate things on my end, so I cannot use a "freeform" donate button as I would have liked, so I just offered 3 dollar amounts for you to choose from.
The billing cycle is set to automatically repeat in 12 months, after which time, you will no longer be in a billing "cycle". I had to do this in order for Paypal to work properly. So, you will notice I added an "UNSUBSCRIBE" button if you do not wish to be billed for the next year when the time comes. If you wish to contribute in 1 year from now, do nothing and you will be automatically billed. otherwise, make sure you click the "UNSUBSCRIBE" button prior to the next billing cycle (in 12 months).
If you have ANY questions, please email me: dbronson@ncfjcruisers.com

 | Located off Forest Road 576, the ORV system offers a variety of topography and scenery. All trails are designated for all ORV’s except a small portion of the Dickey Bell trail located west of SR 6584, which is suitable only for use by ATV’s or motorcycles. Stay on the trail system to help prevent soil erosion and creek sedimentation. Forest roads can be used as trail connectors, but only if the vehicle in operation is STREET LEGAL, meaning full licensing and registration. Persons violating these regulations will be fined according to the law. The Daniel Trail is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, and only experienced, highly skilled operators should attempt this trail.
ORV Trail Fees
* $5.00 per day per vehicle
* $30.00 per vehicle Annual Pass

 | The Outer Banks, with its spectacular natural beauty and unique environment, offers visitors opportunities to enjoy pleasures that are far from commonplace. Not all the places to visit are on well-paved roads. Here, you can drive your off-road vehicle along many miles of accessible beach as you search for that perfect fishing spot or explore our pristine beaches, as the waves lap at your tires. All this can be enjoyed, but there are a few regulations that must be followed. Moderator: Moderators

 | The Brown Mountain off-highway vehicle (OHV) area offers visitors the only area in Pisgah that is open to OHVs, including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), 4 wheel drive vehicles, and trail bikes. This area offers 34 miles of rugged trails from March 16 until January 1. All 34 trails are open to trail bikes, while over 14 miles are open to ATVs. Most trails are not wide enough for two-way traffic, thus a one-way trail system is used. The trails numbers can only be seen when traveling in the correct direction. There is a daily usage fee of $5 or you can purchase a season pass for $30. There is a trail map available from the Grandfather Ranger District at 828-652-2144. Moderator: Moderators

 | Richland Road is an old road/trail (you actually drive by an old homestead and cemetary about halfway through) that is now "maintained" as a forest service road.
Located in Watauga/Caldwell County North Carolina. Heading north from Lenoir on 321, go right on Richland Rd. When Richland Rd turns to dirt take the right fork and go down into the creek. When you come out the other side of the trail and hit a T intersection (gravel road) turn left and it will eventually dump you out on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Moderator: Moderators

 | Just off of mile marker 8 on westbound 40, the trail is a USFS road/trail which is 100% legal to drive on. (But you MUST REMEMBER to stay ON THE TRAIL...leaving the trail at any point should be considered as trespassing). It includes many small creek crossings and is easily passable by a stock rig.
Note: Hurricane Creek is the adopted local trail of Appalachian 4x4. They maintain it, clear it, and keep it clean. So please remember, leave the trail better than you found it! Moderator: Moderators

 | North River Ranger District (Harrisonburg, VA Area)
The entrance to George Washington National Forest is off of US Route 33 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Drive off of I-81 (Exit 247B) And head west, following Rt. 33. You will drive though town and start to head into the mountains. Once you pass the sign for George Washington National Forest, keep your eyes peeled, you will start to see trail heads on both sides of the highway. Just pick one and hold on to your rigs.
Camping is welcome, so make a weekend of it. Just a heads up, these trails are considered roads, so make sure your rig is street legal. I haven't seen many Park Rangers (one in 2 years) up there, but there is your heads up. There is a Wal-Mart near the intersection of Rt.33 and I-81 for your convenience. There are also a few "mom-n-pop" service stations on Rt. 33 about 5 miles before the GWNF. I'd suggest filling up in town though.
Here is a big warning....GWNF MUD IS VICIOUS! ****It will eat your rig right on up.**** Moderator: Moderators
