| Love my Ricochet skids! They look great, are light weight, and offer great protection while on the trail. When I decided to look for some armor Ricochet was already at the top of my list. |

| My buddy Doug just installed a 4 piece set on his FJ. I was excited when he said he was looking into armor and Ricochet was at the top of his list. _________________ Jami2008 Sunfusion A/T FJ Cruiser |

| No Ricochet but just got an OEM skid from a local guy. I need hardware...did any of you guys keep your harware? (assuming you did not need to use it) I know that will leave you with a skid without hardware...unless you want to throw that in for free since I already have one. | can someone explain the purpose of the a-arm skid? Thats a hunk of metal bolted to a hunk of metal to protect the second hunk of metal. Maybe Im missing something. Dies it protect the tie rod cause it cant possibly protect the CV boots |

| If you ask Brad most likely he will tell you the lower A arm skid is made specifically to protect the CV boot. It will help to keep any objects such as a piece of wood from before maneuvered up through the open spaces and puncturing the boot. _________________ Jami2008 Sunfusion A/T FJ Cruiser |

| next question why are your skids so imaculate.
My crawers got 3/16th steel skids with gouges halfway through them and bends in them. You gotta put those things to use. |

The LCA skid is designed to protect the LCA itself, but also the inner cv boot. The inner boot is extremely vulnerable from under neath. I tore one going over a downed tree. A stray branch caught the boot. Also if you are dragging your LCA skids across rocks fairly often you are going to be leaving bits of metal behind. I would rather the skids take the abuse over the LCA. The LCA is a big chunk of metal. It's also an expensive chunk of metal. |
