I think these are the factory "rock rails" or sliders. Although they look like they have been reprinted in shiny black. Mine have served me well.

Yeah, same thing I'm running. I picked mine up used on Craigslist for $100, though they looked brand new. I guess the chromed out 2wd FJ (ridin' on chrome 22s) they came off of didn't get offroad much. The 3" chrome step tubes they put back on their truck made me throw up in my mouth a little. At least I have given the stock rock rails an appropriate home where they are used.

Yes - they are sliders. They will work but won't provide as much protection as aftermarket sliders b/c they don't stick out to the side as much, and aren't as beefy.

well for what I found them for, they'll do for now, as i am rolling around the lowlands. but I want a side jacking point. and all the more reason to buy your soft shackles too, steve.

Careful if you use a hi-lift to on the side of your vehicle, it will lean in towards the fj and cause a nice big white........ We'll call it a caricature Mark, nit a scratch. I know from experience, the bottle Jack works fine though

Yeah, I was looking at my highlift the other day. And with the stock sliders you really need to have the door open to use them as a lifting point.

Those appear to be repainted for sure but they look JUST like mine... and as Mike said they're upside down in the picture.

yea i got them for cheap, they had gloss black on them. a 5 dollar can of stripper took care of that. bolted them on in the parking lot and took them to a local muffler place to get snugged up and two stubborn bolts put in. good deal. Thanks guys.

I went to Osceola NF with my brother this past summer. Not difficult offroading at all, but nice scenery. Its about 20-30 minutes West of Jacksonville. Look into it if you are interested.
