Howard's Saterday night! So you can rub those glasses in the Bruisers faces! They have done a lot of different swag, but I don't remember ever seeing glasses! Laughing

Hey Imperial, are you camping now or do you have other arrangements?

Since I'll be arriving later than most, is there a CB channel that FJ's will primarily be using?

Great question. I guess we could use channel 7. I will add that to the itinerary when I publish it.

Ah yes...I did get it. I am going to check on the runs for Saturday. Maybe if all else fails, we can at least meet somewhere for a photo op with the Bruisers.

Are we looking at doing any runs on the beach at night? I saw where you need a special permit at night (free) but it looks like they define night as being after 10:00 pm. Might be nice to have a small campfire towards Hatteras and toast some marshmallows if the sand fleas aren't too bad.

I'm always down for a night ride! I have 20+ aftermarket lights on my truck. Laughing But I dont think the Drum fishermen like them.

Hey David B., I've scratched the camping thing. I'll be staying at the Days Inn Oceanfront in KDH. They have a good special going on and I'll be staying three nights, arriving Friday, leaving Monday. Tax and all is $170 total for three nights. That's cheaper than me towing the camper down and staying at Camp Hatteras.
HIE was full when I checked this AM. This Days Inn is one of oldest hotels left on the OBX and is actually pretty nice and retro. They only have about 3 rooms left if anyone needs a room.

David & Rolando are finishing up the itinerary for the weekend this week. In the mean time they have asked that since I had the idea of meeting Friday night to organize it.

We're planning on meeting at Barefoot Bernies (http://barefootbernies.com/) about 6:00. I have a customer that recommended it and I think it will be a good place to just have a casual hangout so that the newbies (like me) can meet can get to know everyone. If you guys would pm or email me (paulwardinc@gmail.com) if you're planning to make it Friday night with your username, name and the total number of people in your group and I will up date this post with the count!

Looks like it's going to be a fun weekend!

Who's Meeting at Barefoot Bernies Friday Night;

See page 23 for up to date list!

Bryan (Imperial) was nice enough to post a link to the permit you MUST have for night beach driving. We may or may not need it, but I would encourage everyone to print one out just in case.

The link is under the itinerary thread but Ill post it here also just to make sure everyone sees it.

Thanks again Bryan!!!!

Who's Meeting at Barefoot Bernies Friday Night (See Page 21 for list)?

Just following up on this... I've only had a few emails or PMs. I'm also kinda wondering about the time? Is it too early? I was thinking this would be a pretty casual hangout. Let's hear some feedback and make sure to message me if you plan to come with how many.

Thanks Paul for following up on this. I think 6pm should be a good time but I'm open to suggestions.

I think it's good too... I'd like to start around the parking lot of the hotel or at Bernies... See some rigs and chat it up about them...

That works. So Bernies parking lot at 6p? Then we'll hang there for a bit before going in?
