What are you guys carrying in your recovery bags?

I have the following:

ARB Snatch Strap, d-shakles, recovery gloves, airdown gauge, knife, tow rope, first aid kit...

Added MaxTrax and a desert camo parachute bag with emergency supplies (flares, jumper cables, tire plugs, etc...)

4Wheel Parts is having a pretty good sale I think this Saturday. Discounts on recovery straps, SB Lift/Jack, rebates on winches and lots of other stuff.

Does anyone have the Smittybilt Trail Jack? Seems everyone has the Hi-Lift. I was curious if it is as good?

I carry a Hi-Lift jack and two ammo cans. One has a procomp tow strap, a cheap $15 tow strap and two D-links. The other carries chains, a Hi-lift winch kit and gloves. The ammo cans are awesome. I also carrie a big bag of tools with just about everything.

Oh, thought you may have had the MPac bags or something. How do you like your Power Tank? Where do you get it filled and how much does it cost to fill?

Well in Texas I got it filled at Air Gas for under 20.00. Not sure yet in NC as to I havnt researched it yet. The 20 pound is so worth it. I have only had to refill it 3 times in the time I have owned it. Also the regulator cant be beat. So glad I was talked in to over a source tank.
Also I have a ARB Compressor under the hood. I went with the big one and looking back I should have just gotten the smaller on to actuate the locker. I dont use it to air up or down or run tools. the Powertank does all this so much Better.

Recently got an old parachute bag for the Force Recon Military Surplus that David turned me on to. Also have the Springtail Rear Door combo pack.

Have recovery strap, tools, extra quick-fists, first aid supplies, rain gear, towels/rags and just other small junk that could come in handy.

Still working on my Air system.

I stopped by the surplus shop and almost picked an ammo box for the same reason... I got a tow strap in my rookie days that has hooks on it so my next strap will probably be a snatch strap with a few d-rings.

For an ARB, it's a good price. I don't know how much of a difference the brand makes, but I know I've used my generic branded snatch strap well in excess of any scenario you'd find off road and it's had no problems. Even a solid generic will cost you at least $40-$50 though.

Ordered from them this afternoon before I left work and got an email that the snatch strap shipped just as I left the office! Now that's awesome! I assume I'll have it near the end of the week or so!

Here's what's in my recovery bag:
ARB strap, Staun Tyre Deflators, 2-receiver D-ring shackles, 2 extra D-ring shackles, tire gauge, flashlight, gloves, knife, multi-tool, fist aid kit, Gerber shovel.
NOTE: Yes that's my shovel in the back. Good example of not fully reading item descriptions online before ordering. I'm sure it's good for something so I keep it, it's cute.

Anyhow, I have two versions...

#1 - General use recovery bag.

#2 - When all else fails bag. Twisted Evil

Haha, at first I thought the Vodka was hand sanitizer.

I keep a general bag, tool bag, a recovery bag, and an air tool/equipment ammo box.
General bag has basic first aid, rescue tape, rain gear, gloves, toilet paper and a whole slew of wiring accessories.
Tool bag has most all tools I need to work on a Toyota (sorry Jeeps).
Recovery bag has a strap, D-rings and a heavy chain.
Air tool ammo box has tire repair kit, tire deflator, air gauge, air hose, regulator, air chuck, 1/2 impact gun and a few small items.
Otherwise I keep a second hitch, flashlight and a few odds and ends. Heck, all of this fits under my rear shelf, so I still have a full usable trunk!
