Thanks, I can't wait either Very Happy
It is a slow process when your funds are diverted to so many other projects around the house and farm.

Well,as Baz has told me, all work and no play makes Stan.......

So, I took a break from installing fence posts ( 72 of 192 in the ground ) and business today (Sun) and I worked on the truggy a little. Spent some extra time with the new puppy too.

Her name is Bristol, 8 months, Bloodhound/Shepard mix. Gets on good with the 3 boys

Got some more of the back half done. Traingles are your friend

Rain again, so I got the back half pretty much as far as I want to go without the fuel cell and radiator in hand. It won’t be too long and the back half will come off and the cab will be finished out and painted.

If you look at the three triangular sections making contact with the shock hoop you can see that they also form an inner fender. There will be aluminum panels in each section. Hopefully they will help keep the mud spray down when things are wet. Hard to tell from the pic, the center triangle is horizontal. I’ll probably panel the lower two front sections as well.

Your assumption is correct, I am torn on size at the moment, thinking a 6K would take up little room, raise the axle on steep decents and have enough power for a back end recovery. I threw that 12K up there just for a visual.

I've seen them on rigs, nice setup! There is room under the spare tire and behind the radiator and also at the rear. I am trying not to add weight behind the axle if I don't have to. Swag has some interesting products.

Have I mentioned I am wiring this for street use too? Here in SC there is no inspection. I have VIN plates from the cab and a title. I'll pick up a basic harness from Painless. Makes going to town for lunch at Harlan doable without hassle. Very Happy

No prgress to speak of. I have been working 55-60 hours a week in the shop for the last few months along with trying to build fencing on the property and my wife allso just brought home a horse trailer that needs work as well. Add to that my other business is starting to show signs of life again and I simply have zero time. My stuff comes last.

Some day.............................................

Is that Hardline showing life, or house plans? I know we've really picked up a bunch of house plans this year. Much busier than it's been since 2009.

Hardline has actually been doing pretty well from the beginning. I was referring to house plans. I have been getting calls from a couple of old customers in Key West recently to start drawing plans again for remodels.

Bummer to have to take a trip to Key West just to measure up a couple houses Smile

LOL yeah Dave, it's a tough job but someone has to do it.

I lived in the lower Keys for ten years, so it also allows me to catch up with friends as well.
